CO-WY Engine Startups

The Colorado-Wyoming Engine’s Startup program supports startups developing innovative solutions in the areas of wildfire, soil, water, and/or air through advanced sensing, computational analytics, and/or environmental decision-making technologies.  

Program Benefits

Our Program provides 1-1 strategic advisory and support as well as industry, partner, and investor connections tailored to the specific needs and goals of each startup company.

We offer targeted advisory and support to help startups commercialize and accelerate their impact and company growth, including:

• Workforce Support - Access to skilled talent and workforce development programs.
• Partnership Connections - Collaborations with universities, national labs, and industry leaders.
• Corporate Engagement - Introductions to potential customers, partners, and pilot opportunities.
• Industry Advising - Advisory and mentoring from experts in climate technology, business development, and commercialization.
• Investor Access - Support in securing funding through grants, venture capital, and strategic partnerships.

Focus Areas:

The program is designed for startups with technologies in one or more of the Engine’s ASCEND technology focuses (Advanced Sensing and Computation for Environmental Decision-making) and solutions in one or more of the following Engine focus areas:

• Wildfire Preparedness & Response
• Soil Health
• Air Quality
• Water Quality & Availability
  

Application Process:

• Submit an application – Provide details about your startup and technology.
• Discovery call – The CO-WY Engine’s Translation Director r will review your application, assess your needs and determine program fit
